Why would I trade players whose contracts are expiring for others who are expiring just to let them go?

Why would I trade players whose contracts are expiring for others who are expiring just to let them go? You wouldn't. It makes no sense. That's why I sent emails about players that needed to be extended, traded, franchised or dropped. I even sent you one an hour before the deadline in case you had missed them. The only option is to ask the league to make an exception. I cut all the players that were not signed by the deadline (for every team). I gave everyone a week and several reminders to try and stop this kind of thing happening. What would you do now if you were in my place? I am open to suggestions. |

I'm not saying you're the "bad guy" Steve. Sorry if it seems so. I'm just mad that I misunderstood and angry that my sincere efforts to climb from the basement of the league this year are shot.
Anyway, I just looked up the rule about bids and so to be fair I'll just bid on Big Ben to avoid being unfair to others in the league:
Off season bidding on free agents is open to all teams, including the prior owner of that player. A player signs with a team after 2 full days (48 hours) pass without another team outbidding the previous high bidder. All bids must be in full Breakneck Bucks--there are no $5.50 bids allowed. Outbids must be done with Breakneck Bucks--contract years are not a factor in determining who has the highest bid. Bidding collusion is strictly prohibited; a team may not trade players, cash, or draft picks to another team in order to ensure that team will not bid on a certain player or players.

I get Gerald Sensabaugh S DAL and Brandon Stokely, WR, DEN for Domenik Hixon & Bryant McFadden. (from Guillotine Gang).
I get Lenon Paris, LB DET for Antonio Peirce, LB NYG. (Taz-I'm Gonna Get you sucka)
**I put in fa bids for these guys except for Sensabaugh since he had time left on his contract.

Hmm...I copied that rule from the rule thread...so we should fix the 2 days to 5 days thing then. Seriously, read the rule post by Boehlerking. (Under offseason FA-which differs from inseason).
