Piggybacking on the thread started by JustJ2K at the Game Strategy Forum:
I have a hunch they might delete my post, if not the whole thread.
Anyway, we can discuss here, the issues going on. Unfortunately, this forum has declined steadily this year. Only my friends in the BDFL, the GML, and a few others visit these days. This is a safe place to discuss such issues though, without fear of retribution and deletion in the Fanball forums.
The soap opera, as it is called, is actually a repeat and we've had issues before with censorship, and the admin. there! If the GSL, FSL, and MSL pulled out of Fanball, they would be devastated, as many of us own multiple teams, affecting many leagues outside the Super Leagues. Do we want to make a statement like that?
Like I said there, I think MFL would more than cater to the needs of the GSL and although I want to think more on this, and hear others' opinions, my initial vote is to move to another service.

coach ~ MFL ~ is great , but the only i would like MFL to do is , have team owners make paymt to them "MFL" instead of league commish's ~ if they did that ~ i would pull all 22 teams in a minute to MFL ~
i think we need to tell mike hall this at MFL ~ would be no biggie 4 them plus a lot more $$$$$$$$$$$$$ my 2 cents

Draft card, customizable scoring, proper lineup deadlines. We could have things exactly as we wanted them. None of this crap about not being able to trade for a player that was just picked up from waivers. Or preventing you from dropping a player you just picked up.

Hello fellow Ballers. I am sad to say that I will not be returning to FAnball next year. I'm about 95% sure of this. As many of you know, there was a major issue involving a deleted post by a moderator last week of Archer's WDIS thread in the FF forum. I was informed by Mike (fanball owner) that my name and account had been linked to the deletion through there records. I must admit that I was totally taken back by this as I was not even home at the time and I was the one who was actually searching for the deleted post and was the one who posted messages to other mods requesting an explanation. As a result, Archer went on a rampage abusing his moderator powers and was subsequently banned from the Fanball forums. Not only do I feel my name and good standing in the fanball community has been tainted by this accusation, I don't feel stripping my mod status was warranted either. I find it very hard to be accused of something I did not do and looking at the spread sheet I was sent, I find it odd that there were 20 deletions of stickies up to that specific deletion then the name jumped to mine for the responsibility of the posts in question. It depressed me more than many may think or may find silly being it only a fantasy football site. But it has been my home for a long time and it is the one place I could always go to and be with friends and foes alike. I feel my home has been ripped away from me and I'm being made some sort of scape goat. If I were the responsible, dont you think I would have jumped and admitted any wrong doing without haste? Those of you that know me, would agree. But the fact is that I wasnt home during the incident. I was at work. I'm not going to blame anybody else for it as I've given my password to a few people. That would be lame of me as I'm ultimately responsible for my account. Whatever happened, happened and as far as Fanball is concerned, its resolved. I think I will have to take a long look at fanball and how they handle future problems before I can think about resuming my involvement in the GSL,PBL. As much as I would hate to leave those leagues, I'm not sure I can take having my name tainted like it has been. I dont have any idea where the other members that have left or are leaving are going and I dont really have an interest in finding out. Would they want a person that is being accused of the action that led to there exodus joining there forum? I would think not lmao. ANyway...thats the short of it. Again....I will take some time away from FF and I will let Steve know in due time of my PBL involvement as the draft is right around the corner.

It wasn't me using your name by the way I understand why you are pissed off. I would hate anyone to think badly of me either. For what it's worth, I have no doubt that you were in no way involved. As for the PBL draft, let's see what the situation looks like in February and whether we have received an apology from Fanball or decided to move some (or all) of our leagues elsewhere.

Well thanks for the backing. I must make something perfectly clear though before I start giving my 2 cents on wether or not we should move the leagues. I do not, have not and will not bad mouth Fanball because of this. As far as I know, they are going by there records of the forum deletions. I don't know if it is a clerical mistake, a computer glitch or something else, but I am in no way saying screw fanball, or there site blows or any other nonsense. I wish more than anything to stay with fanball as I find it fits perfectly with my personality and FF needs. My entire FF family is at fanball and leaving them will be a devestating move for me so that is why I'm still hesitent and hopefull that the truth eventually comes out. It usually does but I'm gonna try not to dwell on the matter. I will, however, take a break from the fanball forums as there are Archer backers that most likely will believe anything they here from Fanball concerning the matter and that just happens to be me being the one responsible for his ban lmao...as funny as that sounds its true. And Steve, please don't think I'm accusing anybody with my password of doing something so trivial as to delete a post in the forums. I mean, cmon how desperate does that make me in trying to prove my innocense. And my password is still the same as I have complete trust in the people I have entrusted with my password in the past. I'm not gonna change as that would make me look untrustworthy of all of you. Its very sad though that this got so out of hand over a post (although I would be upset as well as this was a season long authored thread by Archer). My PBL team is gonna rock next year regardless of who takes it over if anybody. I don't know if I can really let it go as its been a very long work in progress and I seem to be in the running each year even though it looks crappy on paper. The GSL is something that will probably make me stay though. I just cant see giving my slot to somebody else as the core group are awesome owners as well as the PBL group. If you guys wish to copy and paste my statement to a relevent fanball thread, feel free to do so. I'm just not ready to log back in as of yet. If we were to move the GSL, I would recommend moving it to our BDFL site www.myfantasyleague.com which Steve has an enourmous knowledge of. To make it even better, its free. The only drawback, is the forums are, need I say, lacking. Everything else is a step above and live scoring is included.

I've received alot of emails from ballers voicing there displeasure with the treatment of this matter and I'm very appreciative of that. I start work on the HBO series "John From Cincinnatti" again this Monday, so maybe some Hollywood type atmosphere will clear my mind and get me back into the thick of things. For now, this will be my little home away from home.
**For future reference and as a Moderator of this site, I swear before you all: I DIDN'T DO IT!!!!!!!!**
(Not sure if thats a horrible stab at humor or what, but what the hell.)

Michael.....Tazman......I know for a fact just the kind of man you are and I don't believe this chit for one minute bro. I'm really sorry this had to happen to you and the site that it happened on. Fanball has been a home for alot of us FF junkies. Hopefully in time, this will be solved by Fanball.
Stick to your guns bro and keep your head up! I'm not sure if you still have my # but remember you've got a friend on the other end of it when you need it......I'll shoot it to you in an email just in case you've lost it thru time.
Yo bro - Rob

Taz I would like you to know that you have my FULL support and I would hate to see you get out of ff! The BDFL is an awesome league and while my team sucks eggs I would hate to lose an owner like you! I would personally like to see the FSL move to the MFL along with the other SUPER LEAGUES! I am not bad mouthing Fanball or anything and I have had fun playing in the exit 42 leagues but they dont want to improve things and I think we need a change!
Have you talked to Archer about this?I'm not trying to be nosy or anything so if you don't think its any of my buisness please just say so! I am just curious about Archers take?
Having Coaches forums is nice and I would personally like to see more people here so I will give all the shameless plugs to other sites that I can!

I think one of the smack leagues will have to make that first jump without having 100% support from everyone in the league.
I'm just guessing that none of the leagues have 100% support one way or the other (staying or going)
but perhaps there is a chance for a deal to be made between the leagues. one league goes and takes alot of the guys who wanted to leave from the other leagues, and leaves behind the ones who dont want to go.
the league that jumps first would probably lose a bunch of guys who dont want to jump, but gain a bunch from the other smack leagues that stayed at fanball but have alot of guys who want to leave fanball.
Its just my opinion, but i think the first one to break away from fanball will last the longest, and the last one to go will sink with the ship.
or maybe i am just crazy! ha!

Good post Mark. It's been pretty clear through all the discussions that have already taken place that there is never going to be a 100% agreement to make the switch.
I really think the biggest obstacle will be the money. With sites like MFL being paid for at the league level instead of the team level, it will create extra pressure for the commish of each to collect the money.
Perhaps the best alternative would be to check out the Fleaflicker site that behnkem has been talking about. It's free and apparently has a more robust feature set than Real Leagues. This could be the best of both worlds: a more modern, feature rich site with no cash problems....
I've suggested a few times that the commishes in the MSL poll the members, but nothing has been done yet...
